In this episode we talk about the importance of health and policy, the need of having physicians at the table where the decisions are made, how to get involved in policy early on as a medical student, and the opportunities provided by our SW region.

Karla Madrigal is the LMSA Southwest Policy Chair (2022-23) and a second-year medical student at McGovern Medical School. Her efforts are important for Southwest to continue annual participation in the LMSA Policy Summit held in Washington D.C.
