¡Bienvenidos! We are honored and excited to welcome you to Galveston for the 14th Annual Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) Southwest Regional Conference! This upcoming year, February 27th - March 1st, 2026, we gather under the theme: Healing Beyond Borders: Uniting Passion, Purpose, and Progress in Medicine.
This conference is more than an event—it’s a movement. Together, pre-medical and medical students, physicians, and healthcare leaders from across the Southwest are coming together to learn, connect, and inspire one another. In a city as vibrant and diverse as Galveston, we celebrate not only where we come from, but also the boundless potential of where we are going.
Over those two days, you’ll engage in thought-provoking discussions, hands-on workshops, and mentorship opportunities that reflect our collective mission: to expand access, equity, and representation in medicine. Whether you are just beginning to explore the path to medical school, preparing for residency, or looking to deepen your role as a leader and advocate, this conference is designed with your journey in mind.
Our theme reminds us that medicine knows no borders—and neither should our passion for service. By uniting purpose with progress, we strengthen not only ourselves, but also the communities we serve.
